TN Maleik Petrochemicals Inc. was established in 2022 with the aim of contributing to Turkey’s strategic objectives in the industrial and petrochemical sectors. Our facility, located in the GEBKİM Chemical Specialised Organised Industrial Zone in Dilovası, Kocaeli, holds a leading position in the sector with an investment value of approximately 300 million dollars and an annual production capacity of 50,000 tonnes.
At our facility, we produce maleic anhydride, a strategic raw material that has not previously been manufactured in Turkey. The aim of this production is to meet 30% of Turkey’s maleic anhydride requirements, thereby reducing the country’s reliance on imports and helping to reduce the current account deficit by preventing annual imports worth 60 million dollars.
Efficiency, advanced technology and sustainability are among our core priorities in our production processes. The heat energy released during maleic anhydride production is recovered and converted into steam; the resulting steam is then converted into electrical energy at our turbine power plant, which has a capacity of 127,000,000 kWh per year. This system supports the efficient use of energy resources whilst enhancing the environmental and operational efficiency of our production processes.
